Samaras fall is a game that was inspired and based on the popular flappy bird game. The game consists of a seed falling graciously to the ground and the player has to move it to the left and right in order to avoid the branches on the screen.
Looking back, if I had more time, I would like to have made the textures a lot higher quality than they ended up, and I would have liked to add more content. One idea I had was a bird that every now and then swoops down and can kill the player if they are hit by it. Obviously, I didn’t have enough time to do this, but it would be a fun concept to include. Another idea was for the animations to be tied to physics so as the player moves the seed left, it would rotate clockwise like in real life.
Overall, I am relatively happy with the outcome, as it is very different to flappy bird but still has remnants of its core features.
